Power shutdown

CHENNAI: Power supply will be suspended in the following areas on Wednesday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. for maintenance work. In Madambakkam: Anna Nagar, Sudarsan Nagar, Rajakilpakkam and Sembakkam. In Thousand Lights: Anna Salai door Nos: 751 to 768, Sakthi Tower, Vasan Publications, HT Service, Citibank HT Service and ICICI HT service. In Oragadam: Banu Nagar, Barathy Nagar, Oragadam, Vinayaga Puram and S.V. Nagar.

Presentation on education in the U.S.

United States Educational Foundation in India (USEFI) will organise a presentation on "Higher Education in the United States" on Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Stella Maris College. The program will highlight the application process to universities in the U.S. and opportunities at Dallas Baptist University. Robert Whitfield, Donor Relations and International Relations, Library of Congress-DBU Book Selector, Dallas Baptist University, Texas, will be the resource person. Those interested in pursuing higher education in the U.S. may attend the programme.

Workshop on building leadership skills

EYES (Empower Youth, Educate Society), a non-profit organisation that works with youth, is organising a workshop in Tamil and English titled as "Choosing Success". It is aimed at making leaders among the youth. Participation is free. The Tamil workshop is from June from 1 to 3 and the English one is from June 15 to 17.
