CHENNAI: Apollo Centre for Women celebrated Mother's Day on Monday by inaugurating services for mothers-to-be.

The objective of the event was to motivate expecting mothers to come for regular check ups, according to a press release from the Centre.

Antenatal investigation package

The hospital launched an antenatal investigation package, including tests that an expecting mother would have to undergo during pregnancy, at a discounted price.

The package includes four ultrasounds, blood sugar tests and initial tests such as HIV, blood grouping, Rh typing and routine examinations.

The Centre also launched a yoga clinic for pregnant women to maintain fitness during and after the pregnancy.

As a value added service, the clinic stocks yoga hampers for sale.

All the mothers-to-be at the event were given a gift hamper containing a book on pregnancy, the release said.
