80 CPI (M) workers held

SRIKAKULAM: Over 80 activists of the Communist Party of India (Marxists) were arrested in Srikakulam and Tekkali on the charge of trespassing the Government land on Tuesday.

As part of the party's land struggle programme, 70 party workers, including 10 women, occupied the land belonging to the Fisheries Department near the DCCB Colony here.

Twelve persons, including three women, were arrested at Tekkali.
