KOLLAM: The Kollam East police arrested a four-member gang late on Monday on charges of car theft during a routine night patrol by a team led by Sub-Inspector Y. Kamaruddin. During the patrol, the team noticed the number plate of a car being altered. The four members were unable to provide satisfactory answers on being questioned. They were taken into custody and interrogated. They confessed to having stolen the car from Bangalore. The car was brought to Kollam on Monday. The accused have been identified as Mansoor Khan, Shiju, Ajayan and Kiran. They were produced before a court and remanded.
