`Tala Maddale Saptaha' from May 21

Udupi: Yakshagana Kalaranga will organise "Tala Maddale Saptaha" here from May 21 to 27. President of the kalaranga Jagjeevandas Shetty told presspersons here that the event would focus on episodes from the Ramayana. The episodes to be staged are "Sri Rama vanabhigamana" on May 21, "Bharatagamana" on May 22, "Shurpanakha" on May 23, "Sitapahara" on May 24, "Vali vadhe" on May 25, "Angada sandhana" on May 26, and "Ravana vadhe" on May 27.

The Matti Muralidhar Rao Prashasti will be presented to "arthadhari" (singer-director) M.R. Lakshminarayana on May 27.
