CHENNAI:
The Pattali Makkal Katchi on Tuesday launched a campaign for prohibition, with 125 members of the party's women's wing launching a State-wide trip to highlight the party's stand. They will converge here for a public meeting on Saturday.
S. Ramadoss, PMK founder, flagged off the tour at a function in the city. On Sunday, at a party executive emergency meeting at Thaliapuram Gardens near Tindivanam, Dr. Ramadoss advised the party not to resort to road roko or burning of effigies on any issue of public interest.
