Celebrating with celebrities

Mother's Day celebrations in Paadhai Shelter Home for Destitute Girls took on a celebrity angle when actor Jayam Ravi and his mother Varalakshmi Mohan joined the children.

The actor and his mother interacted with the children and watched the cultural events presented by them. In fact, it was Mrs. Mohan who was responsible for putting the whole programme together, according to Amal, secretary, Paadhai.

The initiative was taken by the Kodambakkam Suburayan Nagar Women's Welfare Association, of which Mrs. Mohan is president.
