Opportunities in film, TV industry

CHENNAI: SAE College will organise a lecture for those aspiring to enter the film and television industry on Wednesday at its campus. Animation and special effects expert Laurence Adalian will give students an overview of the hurdles and possibilities in the industry. Recharge coupons

BSNL Chennai Telephones is offering 25 per cent additional talk value and full talk value offer for its pre-paid customers, who recharge between May 17 and June 15. Additional talk value will be offered to those coupons in the range of Rs. 3,000 and Rs. 5,000. Recharge coupons of Rs.500, Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 2,500 will be offered full talk value.

Bank campaign

to mobilise accounts

Indian Bank, which is celebrating its centenary year, has launched a campaign to mobilise current and savings bank accounts.

The aim of the campaign is to meet residents and commercial establishments near each of its branch, solicit them to open their accounts, and explain them their new products such as multi-city cheque and Internet Banking. The campaign, which was inaugurated by bank's Executive Director M.S. Sundararajan on Tuesday, will be end on Wednesday.

Blood donation camps held

The blood bank of Indian Red Cross Society organised a blood donation camp on Monday at Citigroup Global Services in T. Nagar.

The camp was organised by Siva Kumar Balraj and Anto Joseph of Citigroup Global Services.

The blood bank organised another donation camp on Sunday at Sri Bharath Nursery Primary School in G.K.M Colony. The camp was organised by K. Padmavathi, president of Annai Magalir Nala Sangam, in Kumaran Nagar Extension.

Couple found dead in Aminjikarai

A couple were found dead in their residence situated in Aminjikarai police station limits here on Tuesday.

Police said Sarath Anbikar (60) and his wife Meenakshi (55) of Maharashtra had been living in a rented residential flat in S.S. Sahib Street for the last couple of years. Neighbours informed the police after they found a foul smell emanating from the house. Police broke open the door and found the couple lying dead.

A case of unnatural death has been registered and the reason for the death is being probed. Aminjikarai police have sent the bodies for post-mortem.
