Bangalore youth ends life in city lodge

Staff Reporter

Rings up family members and tells them of his plans

HYDERABAD: N. Harish, 21, hailing from Bangalore, committed suicide by hanging in Everest lodge in Secunderabad on Monday, the Gopalapuram police said on Tuesday.

The youth checked into room no. 41 of the lodge a couple of days ago. He rang up his family members in Bangalore on Monday night giving details of the lodge he had put up in.

He reportedly told them that he would commit suicide and hung up. His worried family members tried to secure the lodge phone number all through the night.

Somehow, they managed to get the phone number the next morning and rang up the reception counter asking the lodge workers to see if anyone was in the said room.

When the lodge staff peeped through the window, Harish's body was found hanging from the ceiling fan.
