DHARWAD: Sports Academy of Gadag (SAG) and SDM Cricket Academy, Dharwad won their respective matches in the league matches of "Vshva Sports" Trophy under-13 inter-camp cricket tournament at the KE Board's PU College here on Tuesday. While SAG won against Hubli Sports Club by 11 runs, SDMCA registered a ten wicket win against VMCA "B" team. On the inaugural day (Monday) of the tournament, skipper Samarth Ooty's unbeaten century guided hosts Vasant Murdeshwar Cricket Academy (VMCA) `A' to a huge 212 runs win over Hubli Cricket Academy (HCA) `B' team. In the afternoon match on Monday, HSC `A' had outplayed VMCA `B' by 9 wickets.
The scores: SAG 120 runs in 20 overs (N. Akash four for 18, H. Praveen three for 25) bt HSC 111 for 9 in 25 overs (Sanket Mugali 37). VMCA `B' 65 all out in 16.4 overs (Sudesh four for 12, Abhishek Honnavar three for 21) lost to SDMCA 66 for no loss in 8.1 overs (Ninand Raman 23 n.o., K.P. Poorvik 22 n.o.). — Staff Correspondent
