Location
Nestled against a lush backdrop, surrounded by a natural lake and well connected by the Bangalore-Mysore highway, the film city at Bidadi is a much-awaited development as far as the entertainment and film industries are concerned. Innovative Film City has announced the entry of Ripley Entertainment Inc. in Bangalore, the first of its kind in South-east Asia.
Global brand
Ripley Entertainment Inc. has been a global brand for over 85 years. It will feature three of its main attractions "Ripley's Believe It or Not", "Guinness World Records" and "Louis Tussaud's Wax Museum", at the film city. Nitish Roy, chief designer from Innovative Film Studios, is responsible for the coordination of the project with Brian Smith from Ripley Entertainment Inc. The film city is a multi-crore project housing six mega-studios, a film academy in association with Griffith and Bond universities, Australia, a production house, an IT Park, the wax museum, Funplex, Ripley's Believe It or Not, Guinness World Records, Snow Park, Miniature City, Aqua Kingdom, Dinosaur World, Haunted Mansion, Cartoon City, Amphitheatre, a retail high street, food courts and theme restaurants, and a residential district featuring celebrity signature mansions, themed lifestyle villas and luxury apartments.
Features
Other features of the upcoming project include a go-kart track, a mini-golf course and a 21-screen multiplex with 4D theatres. The Innovative Group has tie-ups with entertainment companies such as Hi-Technology, China; Eastern European Company and Life Formations. The project is expected to be completed by the end of this year. Chairman and Managing Director of the film city project Saravana Prasad says, "This is the first step in fulfilling our vision of bring the best of the world entertainment industry into the country."
