Kolkata: The presence of Trinamool Congress leader, Mamata Banerjee is essential as is that of Biman Bose, chairman of the Left Front committee, in the all-party meeting being planned for the restoration of peace at Nandigram in West Bengal's Purbo Medinipur district, All India Forward Bloc leader, Ashok Ghosh, said here on Wednesday. Mr. Ghosh who is secretary of the state committee of the AIFB has been entrusted the job of organising the all-party talks by the Left Front. Ms. Banerjee, will also be consulted before the date for the proposed all-party meeting is finalised, Mr. Ghosh said, adding that he intends to sit for separate talks with her on her return from New Delhi to discuss various issues related to the meeting. The Trinamool Congress leader who has been turning down offers of all-party peace talks on Nandigram in the past finally expressed the willingness of her party to participate in a meeting if it was convened by Mr. Ghosh and not the State Government. The meeting should not be held at the State Secretariat, she has insisted. The proposed all-party meeting is to be first held at the State level as desired by the Opposition.
