BANGALORE:
The State Government has invited nominations from innovative farmers for the Krishi Pandit Awards for 2006-07.
The awards will be presented in each of the fields such as efficient utilisation of water, organic farming, development of agricultural implements, comprehensive agricultural practices, cropping pattern and crop diversification.
Details regarding awards and application forms may be had from the Joint Director's (Agriculture) office, Assistant Director's (Agriculture) office, raitha samparka kendras or from the website http://raitamitra.kar.nic.in.
Nominations have to be sent along with relevant documents and recommendations from the Joint Directors (Agriculture) of the respective regions/experts of agricultural universities to the Agricultural Commissioner, Seshadri Road, Bangalore-560001 by June 15.
