Madikeri: Dhananjaya, Regional Commissioner, Mysore Zone has called upon officials to redress the grievances of rural people by visiting villages, instead of waiting for people to visit offices with complaints. He was presiding over a district-level meeting on the development of Kodagu district, a release said here on Wednesday. Mr. Dhananjaya said the meeting was convened to speed up the administrative machinery. A review meeting would he held, he said. Mr. Dhananjaya asked the officials to ensure speedy disbursal of compensation to the families of farmers who had committed suicide. He stressed the need for coordination among departments Regional Commissioners were authorised to monitor the functioning of the offices of the Deputy Commissioner and the Zilla Panchayat, auditing and suggestion of guidelines, he said. Zilla panchayat Chief Executive Officer K. Sundar Naik; Superintendent of Police Trilok Chandra; zilla panchayat deputy secretary Zulfiqarullah; Project Director Paramesh; and City Municipal Commissioner D.H. Raya were among those who attended the meeting.
