Calls for utilisation of water for well-being of the nation

Kakinada: Lok Satta founder Jayaprakash Narayan has said that water resources should be made a national subject and water allocation disputes should be left to the Centre and the Supreme Court for amicable settlement instead of states fighting against one another.

At a press conference here on Wednesday, he said that no one had a right to deny drinking water to any State. He was clarifying the position in the backdrop of the Babli project dispute.
