KOLLAM: The All-India Ration Dealers' Association has welcomed the decision of Minister for Food and Civil Supplies C. Divakaran to convene a meeting with the representatives of the association. The meeting, to be held on May 23, is to find ways to end black marketing of food grains and kerosene and to discuss hiking the commission for ration dealers. In a statement, the general secretary of the association, Mannanthala Vijayan, said the commission was not hiked in the past six years. Though a report in this connection was submitted to the Minister ten months ago, no action was taken, the statement said.
