NEW DELHI: Lovers of Punjabi theatre and performing arts and artists of the Delhi unit of the National Theatre Arts Society, Patiala, have demanded simplification of procedures for grant of railway fare concessions to theatre groups travelling for outstation performances.
Benefits
Disclosing this, NATS founder director Pran Sabharwal said that because of complicated railway procedures many theatre groups are unable to avail themselves of the benefits as a result of which the concession fare scheme remains unutilised.
Theatre groups
Mr. Sabharwal said about 100 self-help theatre groups in Punjab were eager to perform in Delhi and other States on a regular basis and promote Punjabi theatre and inter-State cultural exchanges.
