NEW DELHI: Mohammed Asab won the double trap gold in the international junior shooting competition at Suhl, Germany, with a 167 out of 200. Leading into the final with a 126 out of 150, ahead of two Italians Nico Bizzoni (125) and Antonino Barilla (124), Asab shot a 41 to clinch the gold two points ahead of Nico. He had shot a series of 40, 41 and 45 in the preliminary phase. Sangram Dahiya also made the final and finished fourth with a 158. Two other Indians, Asher Noria (109) and Yogendra Singh (96), finished seventh and 10th in a field of 13. In the women's rifle 3-position event on Friday, the Indian girls fared miserably, as they could not make the top-20 in a strong field of 73 shooters.
