INTACH poser on temple demolition

Chennakeshava Swamy temple was constructed by Vijayanagara kings in the 15th century

ANANTAPUR: The Anantapur chapter of INTACH on Wednesday objected to the demolition of an ancient temple belonging to the 15th century at Pamudurthi village in Bukkapatnam mandal, the native place of Gorantla legislator P. Ravindra Reddy, recently.

Talking to reporter, A.G. Venugopal Reddy, district convener, alleged that the Chennakeshava Swamy temple was demolished overnight after `bhumi puja' was performed.
