RTC hailed

P. Lakshmi Tulasi, 45th division corporator, hailed the APSRTC for launching an additional bus service (29 M) from Madhuranagar to Poranki. She said that the new service was a sequel to the request made by people during `Veedhikoroju' programme addressed by RTC zonal chairman J. Ramesh.

CP's warning

Police Commissioner C.V. Anand has cautioned managements of private travels of action under the Andhra Pradesh Motor Vehicles Rules if they ferry cargo in their vehicles. In a statement, he said Rule 203 of the above rules specified that the private travels should allow only luggage belonging to passengers and not any other goods by way of running a cargo service.

BJP poll strategy

BJP State president B. Dattatreya told reporters in Guntur on Thursday on the sidelines of office-bearers' meeting that they would go to the 2009 Assembly polls with a promise to provide separate State to people of Andhra, while assuring people of Telangana of a State of their own through a legislation in two years.
