MANGALORE: The Hindu EducationPlus has postponed its pre-counselling session on engineering, medical and allied courses for those who appeared for Common Entrance Test and Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka test, at the Town Hall here from Friday to Tuesday. This has been done on account of the announcement of Pre-University results on Friday. The session will now be held on Tuesday (May 22) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be no registration charge. The amount of Rs. 100 collected earlier will be refunded. Students can confirm their participation by calling The Hindu office here between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Ph: 2417575. A panel of academicians and experts, including Dean of K.S. Hegde Medical Academy Shantaram Shetty; Director of the National Institute of Technology - Karnataka, Surathkal, Sandeep Sancheti; former president of Indian Dental Association U.S. Krishna Nayak and professor emeritus of Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, G.N. Menon, will guide the students on the choice of courses and the admission process. Those who register will be given a booklet containing information on various courses and the colleges offering the courses. The session will be sponsored by State Bank of Mysore, Garden City College, Bangalore; Manipal Education, Manipal; The Oxford Educational Institutions, Bangalore; Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. and Bharat Petroleum.
