Dr. Jeganathan dead

CHENNAI: Billroth Hospital founder V. Jeganathan died of heart attack on Thursday. He was 54 and is survived by his son and daughter.

A surgical gastroenterologist, Dr. Jeganathan built gastroenterology as a super speciality unit in the hospital. He was also instrumental in facilitating Billroth's takeover of Chennai Kaliappa Hospital at R.A. Puram.

The last rites were performed at his Shenoy Nagar residence in the evening.
