DUTA condemns V-C

NEW DELHI: The Delhi University Teachers' Association at its executive committee meeting here on Thursday passed a resolution condemning Vice-Chancellor Deepak Pental for "not forwarding the annual audit report of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College (Evening) that has resulted in non-payment of salary to the teaching and non-teaching staff".

"Salaries have not been paid to the staff as the annual audit report of the college was not forwarded by the Vice-Chancellor to the UGC. Consequently the grant has not been released by the UGC. We have decided to report the matter to the NHRC as this action construes a violation of fundamental rights," said DUTA president Amar Deo Sharma in a release.
