Krishna athletes for AP junior meet

VIJAYAWADA: A 24-member Krishna District athletics contingent will take part in the two-day Andhra Pradesh junior inter-district championship to be held at Acharya Nagarjuna University grounds here on May 19 and 20, according to the Krishna District Athletic Association secretary A. Raghavendra Rao.

The contingent:

Boys: Surya Kiran (100m, 100m relay), Sai Kumar (200m), M. Durga Rao (400m), G. Adinarayana (800m), S.K. Mohan (800m, 1500m), Sk. Khader Babu (800m, 5000m), J. Appa Rao (100m hurdles, decathlon), J. Ravindra (long jump, triple jump), C. Shankar (shot-put, javelin throw), G. Ramakrishna (javelin throw), A. Kumaraswamy (javelin throw).

Girls: B. Anjamma (100m, 200m), Anitha (100m, 1500m), Monica (200m), Nagalakshmi (400m), Reshma (400m, 800m), Ch. Uma Maheswari (800m), R. Kumari (long jump, high jump), B. Aswini (long jump, high jump), Anitha Devi (discus, shot-put), Pavani (Shot-put), Shanthi (javelin throw), Ramya (javelin throw), Annapurna (5km walk).
