Vijayalakshmi in joint 10th spot

NEW DELHI: S. Vijayalakshmi drew with 15th-seeded Romanian Lucian Grunberg Mihai in the seventh round of the Liechtenstein Open chess tournament at Triesen, Switzerland, on Thursday.

The 52-move draw with black pieces raised Vijayalakshmi's tally to five points. She now shares the 10th spot with eight others.

Earlier, S. Meenakshi drew in just 14 moves against 14th-seeded German International Master Michael Hoffman to reach 4.5 points.
