NEW DELHI: Professor R. Sethuraman, Vice-Chancellor, SASTRA University, Thanjavur, has been nominated to the Standing Committee of the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi, for two years till May 2009, in recognition of his outstanding contributions.

He has been nominated from the Southern Zone comprising Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Professor Sethuraman was earlier nominated to various committees in the All-India Council for Teacher Education.
