  • Baby warns against teacher appointments against bogus divisions
  • Hopeful of solution to professional colleges issue

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The results of the higher secondary (HS) and vocational higher secondary (VHS) certificate examinations will be announced on Tuesday, Minister for Education M.A. Baby said here on Saturday.

The results of the entrance examinations to professional courses will be published within a few days from the publication of the higher secondary results. The date will be announced on Sunday.

The Minister told mediapersons that stringent action would be taken against aided school managements who appoint teachers against bogus divisions. Some managements were known to be transporting students by bus to show an increase in divisions. Mr. Baby said he hoped the talks between the Government and managements of professional colleges would help to end the uncertainty regarding admissions to professional colleges. "Our emphasis is on arriving at a solution. We have the support of the public and the media."
