IMC team inspects MKCG infrastructure

BERHAMPUR: A three-member team from the Indian Medical Council reached MKCG medical college campus on Friday on a two-day visit to inspect its infrastructure.

This team would assess whether the college would be allowed to increase its student intake strength. At present the MKCG has 107 seats and both the Government as well as college authorities has requested to increase its intake strength to 150 students. It also has 65 seats for PG courses. The team comprises of Sunita Sarkar, R.N.Sarakar and Achal Gulati.

Since 2004 IMC teams have inspected the MKCG medical college thrice.
