NEW DELHI: Sacked from Escorts, cardiologist Naresh Trehan on Saturday found an unexpected saviour in Anil Nanda, on whose application the Delhi High Court permitted him to treat his patients and unrestricted entry into the institute now owned by Fortis Healthcare. Acting on the application by Anil Nanda, who had earlier opposed elder brother Rajan Nanda selling the family's majority stake in Escorts Heart Institute and Research Centre (EHIRC) to Fortis two years ago, Justice Gita Mittal said, ``he (Dr. Trehan) will be allowed to treat his patients... . will have unrestricted access to the hospital... .'' The ruling came at the end of the day during which high drama was staged at EHIRC, where Dr. Trehan and Fortis Managing Director Shivinder Mohan Singh were engaged publicly in hurling charges and counter-charges. Senior advocate Mukul Rohtagi appeared for Mr. Nanda. - PTI.
