Counselling for SSLC students

Thiruvananthapuram: The Department of Psychiatry, Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, has opened a 24-hour telephone counselling service for students awaiting their SSLC results. The service, available on the telephone number 92495-00495, was inaugurated by Joint Director of Medical Education V. Geetha here on Saturday.

The calls would be handled by the doctors in the Department of Psychiatry on a rotation basis and appropriate advice given to students and parents.

The department proposes to maintain the service on a permanent basis.
