Isolated rain likely in T.N.

CHENNAI: Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Lakshadweep. Mainly dry weather prevailed over south interior Karnataka and dry weather prevailed over Telangana, Rayalaseema, Kerala, coastal and north interior Karnataka.

Kanchipuram and Minicoy recorded rainfall of 1 centimetre each.

On Saturday, severe heat wave conditions prevailed over parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh.

The maximum temperature rose at one or two places over interiror Tamil Nadu, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, fell appreciably at one or two places over rest coastal Andhra Pradesh, fell at one or two places over north coastal Tamil Nadu and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were largely to markedly above normal at a few places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, appreciably above normal at a few places over Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over rest south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, above normal at one or two places over rest Tamil Nadu, Kerala, rest Karnataka, below normal at one or two places over south coastal Tamil Nadu and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Khammam and Gannavaram recorded the highest maximum temperature of 45 degree Celsius in the region.

Forecast (Valid until Tuesday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places over Lakshadweep.

Isolated rain or thundershowers are also likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Kerala.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Rayalaseema, Telangana and Karnataka.
