Assailants strangulated her with a saree

HYDERABAD: A highly decomposed body of a woman, aged around 25, was found at Maheswaram village in Ranga Reddy district on Sunday.

The assailants allegedly killed the woman, who is yet to be identified, by strangulating her with a saree and dumped her body in the bushes. She was clad in a yellow saree and red blouse.

A pair of slippers and water sachets were recovered from the spot. Police are suspecting that the assailants could have raped the woman and later killed her.

The body has been preserved at Osmania General Hospital mortuary for identification and autopsy.
