Rs. one lakh for the right answer to a simple question

Sa'adia Reza

Chennai: The cricket World Cup 2007 fever may have subsided, but the hangover remains. Hello FM, one of the FM radio channels in the city, brought back the memories on Monday for many by distributing awards for a contest it had organised as part of the World Cup. Around 138 winners were awarded cash prizes. One of them was the lucky winner bagging Rs. 1 lakh by answering just one question. "What is the programme name broadcast at six p.m. on Hello FM?" was the question thrown to a number of participants. 16-year-old A. Agalya, a resident of Saidapet, gave the correct answer and won the coveted prize. She is a student of the Saidapet Corporation School. For other participants, the evening was no less fun what with actor Simbhu giving away the prizes.

48-day contest

The contest, in collaboration with Daily Thanthi, was spread over 48 days during the World Cup cricket series.
