CPI (M) to stage demonstrations

Puducherry: The CPI (M) will stage demonstrations on May 30 in front of fair price shops in Puducherry and Karaikal regions to urge the Government to supply essential commodities at subsidised prices including edible oil. A resolution adopted at its executive committee meeting here on Tuesday said the Governments of Kerala and Tamil Nadu were selling the commodities at subsidised prices. But in Puducherry the prices quoted in ration shops were no different from the ones in the open market.
