Give up factionalism, Jagan tells youth

Staff Reporter

KADAPA: YSR Foundation chairman Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy on Tuesday gave a clarion call to the youth to give up factionalism.

The youth would prosper if they could completely get out of factionalism, he told newsmen at YSR guesthouse here. "Perpetrating factional attacks and faction murders to wreak vengeance will lead them to nowhere and law will take its course," he exhorted partymen. Factionalism could be rooted out by generating employment for the youth and ensuring water to help farmers raise two crops in a year.

With the goal in mind, several industrialists, including him, were evincing interest in establishing industrial units and striving to generate employment, Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy said. Raghuram Cements, in which he was one of the directors, would employ 2,000 persons and Dalmia Cements, keen on setting up a cement sack unit near Vempalle, would employ 300 persons, he said.

Brahmani Steels, a Rs. 20,000 crore venture with an envisaged capacity of 10 million tonnes, on completion, would generate direct employment to 25,000 persons and indirect employment to around one-lakh persons and would change the face of the district, he maintained.
