Blind-fold dharna by Left

TIRUPATI: Left parties leaders and cadres on Tuesday staged a dharna at the Gandhi statue here with their eyes blind-folded with a black ribbon symbolising the State Government's "insensitivity" to the problems of the poor and working class.

`False cases'

The leaders said foisting of `false cases' against them mirrored the Government's frustration and inefficiency over its failure to keep its poll promise to provide house sites and lands to all the deserving poor.
