Staff Correspondent

BIJAPUR: Chairperson of the State Women Commission Pramila Nesargi said here on Tuesday that final hearing on the case of alleged harassment of Jayalakshmi, a nurse, by Honnali MLA Renukacharya, would be held on June 4.

Speaking to presspersons, she denied allegations made by Ms. Jayalakhsmi that the commission was partial and did not respond to her complaint promptly. On Ms. Jayalakshmi's decision to approach National Women's Commission, she said according to her understanding it could not be done at a time when the case was pending with State-level commission.
