DEHRA DUN: A 23-year-old employee of a private aviation company was killed when he got sucked in by the blades of a helicopter as it was taking off the Kedarnath helipad around 9.30 am on Tuesday. "The chopper was on a Pata-Kedarnath flight and the youth who was helping it to take off from the Kedarnath helipad seems to have been sucked in by the rotor", the Director General of Police, Kanchan Choudhary told The Hindu . An enquiry has been ordered into the incident. It may be mentioned that another chopper that carried top officials from New Delhi and Dehra Dun to inspect a much publicized disaster management and rescue drill in Uttarkashi district earlier this month got toppled at the ITBP airstrip when hit by swift winds and rain. The sudden rain and storm left many trees uprooted and houses damaged.
