Need to preserve ecology underlined

NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Tuesday stressed the need for preserving ecological balance and inculcating awareness about environment conservation while addressing a workshop at Aravali Bio-diversity Park on the occasion of International Bio-diversity Day.

NEW DELHI: The State Bank of India Ladies Club organised a pulse polio campaign for children at Raisina Bengali School in Chittaranjan Park here over the weekend.

The All-India SBI Ladies Club Federation president Jyoti Bhat and SBI Ladies Club, Delhi Circle, president Binani Kanjilal administered polio drops to a number of children.

Arrangements were made for free health check-up and distribution of medicines and small gifts for children. Most of the children were from underprivileged families.

Symposium on stress

NEW DELHI: Swami Dhirendra Brahmchari School of Yoga organised a symposium on the stress-related issues faced by corporate employees here over the weekend.

The symposium started with a brief relaxation exercise conducted by S. Rajaram, a clinical psychologist at Escorts Heart Hospital.

The main attraction of the symposium was identification of different ways to deal with stress by corporate houses.
