Pre-counselling guidance today

  • A booklet on career guidance will be given to all participants
  • Students will get an insight into the choices available

    HUBLI: The Hindu EducationPlus "CET Pre-Counselling Guidance Session" for students seeking admission to professional courses in the State will be held on Wednesday (May 23) at Sawai Gandharva Hall, Deshpande Nagar in Hubli at 10 a.m.

    The guidance session is aimed at students who have appeared for the Common Entrance Tests conducted in the State and are aspiring to get into engineering, medical and dental science courses.

    The programme will provide an opportunity to students to interact with an eminent panel of speakers from the field of education.

    It will give students an insight into what courses to opt for, career prospects and admission procedures. There will be no registration charges. Those interested are requested to be present at the venue by 9.45 a.m.

    While Ashok Shettar, Principal, B.V. Bhoomaraddi College of Engineering and Technology, Hubli, will be speaking on engineering stream, M.G. Hiremath, Director of Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) and Hospital, Hubli, will speak on medical sciences and K.V.V. Prasad, Professor and Head of the Department of Community Dentistry, SDM College of Dental Sciences and Hospital, Dharwad, will speak on dental sciences.

    There will be an interaction session in which students and their parents can ask questions and get their doubts clarified with regard to the choices of professional courses available.

    A booklet " The Hindu Education Plus Career Guide" will be given to those who register for the programme.

    State Bank of Mysore; Garden City College, Bangalore; Manipal Education, Manipal; The Oxford Educational Institutions, Bangalore; Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd.; and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.; are sponsoring the event.
