Samaram for global health conference in US

VIJAYAWADA: Noted physician G. Samaram has been invited to participate in a three-day global health conference scheduled to be held in Washington DC from May 29.

Experts from 100 countries will gather at the international meet to discuss health issues and chalk out an action plan to effectively combat preventive and curative diseases.

Dispel superstitions

Dr. Samaram will also address a three-day national conference of the American Humanist Association at Portland in Oregon State beginning on June 8.

His speech will focus on the significance of secular and social works taken up by the Atheist Centre here and a medical intervention to dispel superstitions such as witchcraft and sorcery, and creating awareness on AIDS. Vasavya Mahila Mandali secretary G. Rashmi will also attend the conference in the United States.
