`Fire' creates panic

Staff Reporter

VIJAYAWADA: A fire set on waste tar bins by some miscreants at Yanamalakuduru created panic in the Fire Services Department on Tuesday. Some locals dumped the empty tar bins in an open place and the children playing in the nearby fields abutting the open land, apparently, set the bins on fire around 4 p.m.

The thick soot gave an impression for people residing at distant places like Auto Nagar and Patamata that some major fire broke out in the vicinity. Media personnel and fire tenders rushed to the spot only to notice that empty tar bins were set on fire.
