BANGALORE: Employees of the information technology major Hewlett-Packard (HP) Global Soft Limited went through anxious moments on Tuesday following an anonymous call that a bomb had been planted at the company's office in Electronics City. The police said that around 10 a.m., a person telephoned the police control room at the Police Commissioner's office and informed the staff that a bomb had planted at HP office in Electronics City. The police rushed Bomb Disposal Squad and sniffer dog squad and conducted a thorough search on the premises. No explosives were found and the call turned out to be a hoax, Assistant Commissioner of Police (MICO Layout sub-division) M.B. Rajendra Prasad said. Following the bomb threat, work was affected for nearly two hours at the company. Work resumed at the office after the police confirmed that the call was hoax, Mr. Prasad added.
