GULBARGA: The Hindu EducationPlus pre-counselling session for students aspiring to take up professional courses through the entrance tests conducted by the Common Entrance Test Cell and COMED-K will be held at the Doddappa Appa Auditorium in the Sharanabasaveshwar Resident School Complex here on Thursday. The pre-counselling session is aimed at clearing the doubts of students regarding engineering, medical, dental and other professional courses. The pre-counselling session will have talks by experts from different fields. The experts include a two-time winner of the B.C. Roy Award and member of the National Board of Examination P.S. Shankar who will speak on courses and opportunities available in medical and other allied courses, principal of the Appa Institute of Engineering and Technology Anil Kumar Bidwe who will deliver a lecture on the opportunities available in the engineering faculty, and former chairman of the Department of Biotechnology in Gulbarga University G.R. Naik who will speak on the opportunities available in the emerging area of biotechnology. There will also be talks on soft skills and other opportunities available for students. Entry is free. The session will begin at 10 a.m. President of the Sharanabasaveshwar Vidya Vardak Sangh Poojya Sharanabasawappa Appa will inaugurate it.
