Manipur blockade ends

IMPHAL: The four-day economic blockade of the 3 national highways in Manipur called by the All-Tribal Students' Union, Manipur (ATSUM) was called off from Wednesday midnight.

During the blockade thousands of trucks with essential commodities were stranded beyond Manipur.

The ATSUM had imposed the blockade demanding a higher percentage of job reservation, toning up the Tribal Welfare Department, among other things.
