Counselling for Class X, Plus Two students

Staff Reporter

COIMBATORE: Help is just a phone call away for those students who have not secured the marks they expected in the Higher Secondary examinations.

Childline

The Coimbatore Don Bosco Anbu Illam and Childline have a batch of professional counsellors seeking to help students with making the right career guidance and support.

They are offering counselling services to Plus Two and Class X students to help them cope with the psychological stress induced by the examination results.

Students can call the counsellors, discuss their problems and get them resolved.

Reassurance

"Psychological support and reassurance is what these children need most," says S. Ashokan, Co-ordinator of Childline.

Parents of the children also suffer from anxiety caused by the fear of performance in the examination, he adds.

Last year, a large number of calls were from parents of students, he says. Those who wish to avail of the counselling service can call 9363104654 / 9865443003 / 9245312720 / 9865532567 / 9443478277/ 9842253212/ 98422 95279/ 9363207941.
