HYDERABAD: Four sheep-rearing children, who took shelter under a tree, were killed when lightning struck at Burjugadda thanda of Shamshabad, 40 km from here on Wednesday evening. Another girl sustained injuries in the incident but was out of danger, the Shamshabad police said. The children rushed to a nearby tree abutting a huge rock for shelter. Minutes later, the lightning struck leaving all the four dead on the spot and injuring another girl standing beside them. One child is from Solipura of Shadnagar in Mahabubnagar district and had come to Raghunath's house for a visit. The other three were residents of Burjugadda.
