Srikakulam: Heavy downpour and strong gales wreaked havoc in the district on Tuesday night. Though it provided respite from sweltering heat, it brought some trouble too. Trees were uprooted at many places, leading to traffic jams. Hoardings too collapsed. Power supply was disrupted. There was ankle deep water in many areas of the town. The worst affected areas were Palakonda, Arasavilli, Srikakulam and Amadalavalasa.
