Lucknow: Rashtriya Parivartan Dal led by D. P. Yadav, father of Vikas Yadav, an accused in the Nitish Katara murder case, extended its support to the Mayawati Government in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. The party has two members in the State Assembly. Mr. Yadav, who was elected from Sahaswan Assembly seat in Budaun district, said his party would not merge with BSP. He also denied reports that he was likely to be inducted into the Mayawati Ministry. "At the moment, there is no proposal to join the Ministry. There is also no possibility of the party merging with BSP," Mr. Yadav told reporters here. Turning to the Mulayam Singh Yadav dispensation, he alleged thousands of acres of land belonging to farmers were forcibly acquired by the previous regime in Noida and handed over at throwaway prices to some industrial houses.
