KOZHIKODE : The Kerala Nadvathul Mujahideen (KNM) led by T.P. Abdullakoya Maudany has said it is not averse to the unity of Mujahid groups. Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Mr. Maudany said there were no official talks with the group led by Husain Madavoor on unity of groups. Some talks on disputes between the groups in certain areas were held. When the time was ripe, our group would take the appropriate decision on unity by retaining our identity, Mr. Maudany said. He said the group led by him would organise its valedictory of the State-wide campaign raising the message of ``Know the religion, love the humans'' in Kollam on May 27. The campaign lasting three months focussed on imbibing the real message of the religious texts of Islam. Public and family meetings, students and women's conferences, neighbourhood groups, CD screening and house-to-house visit were held under the auspices of Islahi Centres. Kollam Mayor N. Padmalochanan and MLAs P.K. Abdurabb, A.A. Azeez and P.M.A. Salam would attend the valedictory function at 9.30 a.m.
